Northport and MASkargo - Towards Synergistic Alliance for Sea and Air Transhipment Cargo

In an effort to promote new traffic and increasing cargo volumes through Port Klang, Northport and MASkargo are joining forces towards promoting sea and air transhipment cargo at both Port Klang and KLIA.

The promotional presentation organised today is expected to attract more than 50 representatives of various companies handling sea and air cargo on an ad hoc basis. These are companies, which are keen to develop higher movement of cargo volumes through Port Klang.

MASkargo’s i-Port Recognized ‘First in the World’ by Malaysia Book of Records

PETALING JAYA, 22 August 2003 – The i-Port transshipment service, introduced by Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo), has been officially recognized as the world’s first Airport within the Seaport, by the Malaysia Book of Records.

Malaysia Airlines Managing Director, Dato’ Md Nor Yusof, received the certificate of recognition from Malaysia Book of Records Assistant General Manager, Airen Leong in a ceremony here tonight.

Also present was Deputy Minister of Transport, Dato’ Douglas Uggah Embas; and Senior General Manager (Cargo), J J Ong.

MASkargo - Official Air Cargo Partner For The 2004 Japan Championship Formula Nippon Series

KUALA LUMPUR (Malaysia), 10 September 2004 - Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo) today reaffirmed its support towards the development of local motorsports, by fully sponsoring the shipment of car engines for the Japan Championships Formula Nippon.

The sponsorship deal, which would cover the Malaysian leg of the Formula Nippon Championships, will involve the delivery of 16 car engines from Japan to Malaysia and vice versa.

MASkargo Handles Biggest Ever i-Port Shipment

SEPANG (Malaysia), 1 December 2004 - Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo) today handled the largest ever i-Port shipment since the service was launched in 2000 - 200 tonnes of theatre equipment for the romantic musical epic, Phantom of the Opera.
 
The high-profile show, the world’s longest running theatre production, is being shipped by sea from Cape Town, South Africa and bound for Shanghai, and will open in Shanghai for three months, at the Shanghai Grand Theatre starting from 18 December 2004.
 

MASkargo Lends a Helping Hand to Johor Flood Victims

Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer, Tengku Dato’Azmil Zahruddin, MASkargo Logistics General Manager, Zulkarnain Mohd Yudin and staff helped to load boxes of rice and essential items onto a MASkargo Logistics trucks and delivered them to Johor where the victims needed the supplies.

The 20-tonne truck containing contributions such as beverages, canned food, biscuits, bottled water and toiletries was delivered to the Johor National Welfare Department’s Operations Centre on 23 December 2006 to help alleviate the burden of the flood victims.
